Sources and methodology
How sources are selected, evidence is classified, and summaries are prepared.
Source selection
Each profile links findings to original research, regulatory documents, and clearly identified secondary references. Study summaries distinguish the model or population, outcome, and limitations. A source’s presence is not an endorsement of every claim it contains. Bibliographic titles and links from Pep-Pedia are retained with attribution; summaries use original wording.
- Published research: human trials, pilot studies, case series, and preclinical experiments carry different weight.
- Regulators: FDA documents describe specific approved products and indications, plus known safety concerns.
- Sponsor announcements: identified separately from peer-reviewed publications. Topline figures can use different analysis methods.
- Chemical registries: molecular identities and chemical forms; registry entries do not establish clinical benefit or product purity.
- Catalogs: document examples of labeled quantities only. We have not independently tested batches or ranked suppliers.
Reference review status
Primary source checked means the original publication or document was consulted. Abstract checked means the available abstract was consulted. Pep-Pedia report · Primary source not checked means the secondary page was consulted and its reported findings summarized; the original study and metadata remain unverified. Linked reference · Not independently reviewed identifies a bibliography entry retained for access without a verified finding summary. Missing or incorrect source links are noted instead of guessed. Confirmed retractions and citation mismatches are flagged beside the reference title.
Each profile includes the date, search terms, result, and limits of its additional literature check. These are targeted searches, not systematic reviews or a guarantee that every publication has been found. Research, regulatory documents, molecular data, community descriptions, and catalog listings remain separately labeled.
Research levels
These labels describe the type of evidence included in a profile, not the number of references. They are not ratings of effectiveness or safety.
- Human trials
- Controlled human trials are included. They may be negative, use a specific formulation, or concern a narrow condition. This label does not establish effectiveness for other uses.
- Limited human data
- Small studies, uncontrolled reports, early pharmacology studies, or otherwise limited clinical evidence. They cannot settle broad benefit or safety claims.
- Lab & animal research
- The relevant treatment evidence is primarily in cells or animals. Human biomarker associations do not establish effects from administering a peptide.
- No verified human data
- We have not verified human administration evidence for the exact compound or formulation in this profile.
- No blend trials
- We have not verified human trials of the named combination. Evidence for individual ingredients does not validate their mixture, ratio, or interactions.
Read each finding for the studied outcome, formulation, and limitations. Regulatory approval is shown separately and applies only to the specified product and use.
Uses on catalog cards
Cards show one sourced study focus when available, or a clearly labeled community report. Lab studies stay labeled as lab studies. The full studied and community uses remain separate on each profile.
Reference and community reports
Content coverage was checked across all 87 profiles and 152 route views at Pep-Pedia. The audit retains 542 source protocol rows, plus use groups, mechanisms, cautions, interactions, timelines, cycles, storage, preparation parameters, and molecular identity facts using original concise summaries. Repeated rows are combined while preserving their source routes. A reference table is not automatically a human study protocol, even when its title mentions a trial.
Source errors and conflicts remain explicit. Parent-compound evidence is not promoted to analogue evidence; compatibility labels do not establish safe combinations; reported storage windows do not establish research-vial shelf life. Checked product-label storage is separated by formulation and container.
Community sections attribute practices to their source, often Pep-Pedia’s secondary descriptions. They are not our recommendations, a representative survey, or proof of effectiveness. We have not independently verified contributors, products, doses, outcomes, or other treatments.
Community polls are dated snapshots from the source. Per-question response counts are unavailable; profile-wide response labels are not confirmed participant counts. Hidden categories and rounded percentages are retained as limitations. Unavailable results are never presented as zero responses. Poll percentages do not measure effectiveness or safety.
Reports may reflect selection bias, placebo effects, natural recovery, multiple compounds, or missing adverse events. No success rates or “most popular” schedules are inferred from these descriptions.
Pharmacokinetic models
Half-life values retain the source’s route, population, and formulation. IV studies, controlled-release implants, and approved products do not automatically describe research-vial injections. Missing human values stay unspecified. Animal measurements, class inferences, and Pep-Pedia reference estimates are shown separately with visible evidence labels. Checking a reference page confirms what it lists; it does not independently confirm the underlying pharmacokinetic claim. Broad attributions, route mismatches and conflicting values are identified. A range without a representative measurement is graphed as two boundaries, without assuming an average.
Curves show a normalized terminal-phase model: relative level = 100 × 2−time / half-life. They are illustrations, not measured blood concentrations or dose-planning tools. Time zero is a reference level in the elimination phase. Absorption, distribution, repeated dosing, and clinical effects are not modeled. Five half-lives corresponds to 3.125%, not complete clearance. Shading uses reported half-life ranges, not standard deviations.
Calculator assumptions
The reconstitution planner uses total vial mass, container capacity, and measuring device to suggest a convenient scale. It favors simple 1, 2, or 5 × power-of-ten amounts per unit and the largest final volume that fits, in exact 0.01 mL volume steps. This is a mathematical convenience rule, not evidence for a suitable formulation. Known-volume mode calculates from an entered final volume. An optional amount converter divides a user-entered mass by concentration to find its volume.
For a U-100 syringe, 1 mL equals 100 volume markings. Those markings are not a peptide’s biological activity units (IU). The tool has no IU conversion and does not recommend a dose, dilution, schedule, or route.
The suggested final solution volume can differ from the amount of diluent added. The displayed water estimate assumes dry powder with negligible volume displacement; the required diluent must come from the formulation’s instructions. It does not calculate displacement, dead space, or losses. A capacity check catches impossible volumes; it cannot establish solubility, diluent compatibility, sterility, stability, or safe measurement.
Research vials, approved medicines, topical preparations, implants, and premixed products are not interchangeable. Some approved products require a specific supplied diluent. A catalog amount alone cannot tell you how to prepare a product.

Editorial review status
This version contains 87 profiles covering the 87 entries listed in Pep-Pedia’s catalog on October 12, 2026. The catalog includes peptides, proteins, small molecules, and blends; it is not a popularity ranking. Summaries are written with AI and have not received independent medical editorial review.
There is no claimed clinical reviewer, vendor endorsement, or affiliation with Pep-Pedia, the FDA, the cited journals, or peptide suppliers. No affiliate links or paid supplier placements are included.
Use original sources to verify consequential details. An educational reference does not establish a treatment plan or the legality of obtaining or using a particular product. Content and regulatory status can change.
